Ron Young - Club Director
Ron is the founder and Club Director of Missouri Thunder.  Ron has extensive coaching experience at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. Ron’s experience includes:
Current Head Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Coach at Lindenwood University (the Lindenwood Men’s Team  finished
2nd , 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and 3rd respectively in 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, and 2000 in the NAIA National
Tournament).
In 2003 Ron’s Missouri Thunder 171 Team finished 1st in the St. Louis Volleyfest and 1st in the ASICS Junior National
Championships.
In 2002 Ron’s Missouri Thunder 161 team finished 1st in the St. Louis Volleyfest and 9th at USAV Junior National
Championships.
In 2001 Ron’s Missouri Thunder 15s finished 1st at the AAU National Championship tournament.
In 2000 Ron’s Missouri Thunder 17s finished 1st at the AAU National Championship tournament.
Ron is a USAV CAP II certified coach.

Cary Cusumano – Club Director
This is Cary’s 6th year with Missouri Thunder.  Cary has extensive coaching experience at both the club and high school levels. Cary has six years of club coaching experience with the Genesis Volleyball Club and Team St. Louis.  Cary is currently head assistant coach at Lindenwood University for both the Men's and Women's volleyball teams.  He also coaches for the Team Momentum girls teams.  Cary has also assisted with running several summer camps for high school age players. Cary’s experience includes:
In 2008, Cary was an assistant coach for the 181 team which placed 5th at the USAV Junior National Championships.
In 2007, Cary was an assistant coach for both the 16White and 171 teams.
In 2006 Cary’s 181 and 141 teams competed in the Open Division at the USAV Junior National Championships.  Prior to the
National Tournament, the 141 team won all 3 Midwest USAV qualifiers without losing a game and did not lose a match the entire
season and ended with a match record of 69-0. 
In 2005 Cary’s 181 team competed in the Open Division at the USAV Junior National Championships.
In 2004 Cary’s Missouri Thunder 171 team placed 5th at the USAV Junior National Championships.
Coached the Genesis 12s Boys during the 2002/2003 season
In 2002 Cary’s Genesis 15s Boys finished 2nd at USAV Junior National Championships.
In 2001 Cary’s Genesis 14s Boys finished 5th at USAV Junior National Championships.
Cary is a USAV CAP I certified coach.

Ryan Delaney – Head Coach 181
Ryan is returning to Missouri Thunder this year and will begin his 7th year coaching with the club.  Ryan has extensive club volleyball experience with Missouri Thunder and played volleyball for CBC High School.  Ryan's playing and coaching experience includes:
In 2008 Ryan's 182 team competed at the USAV Junior National Championships.
In 2005 Ryan's Missouri Thunder 18 Black team finished 13th at the USAV Junior National Championships.
Former college player at Lindenwood University.
Captain of Missouri Thunders 18s Team in 2000, 16s Team in 1998 and 14s team in 1996.
Member of the 1999 Missouri Thunder Boys 17s Team which finished 2nd  at USAV Junior National Championships.
Member of the 1998 Missouri Thunder Boys 16s Team which finished 10th at USAV Junior National Championships.
Member of the 1997 Missouri Thunder Boys 15s Team which finished 7th at USAV Junior National Championships.
Member of the 1996 Missouri Thunder Boys 14s Team which finished 3rd at USAV Junior National Championships.

Murray Pounds – Head Coach 182
This is Murray’s 8th year coaching with Missouri Thunder.  Murray began playing volleyball in high school for his father, Wayne Pounds, former coach at Kirkwood High school. Murray played college volleyball for Central Missouri State’s club team. Murray has been a USVBA/USAV member for more than 20 years. Murray has played for several teams at the “A/AA” level including Team Kangaroo, Budweiser, Kirkwood Volleyball Association, and St. Louis Volleyball Club. Murray is the Kirkwood Director of Parks and Recreation.  Murray’s experience includes the following:
In 2008 Murray’s 171 Team competed at the USAV junior National Championships
In 2007 Murray’s 162 Team competed at the USAV junior National Championships
In 2006 Murray’s 142 Team competed at the USAV junior National Championships
In 2005 Murray’s Missouri Thunder 131 team finished 1st in the Wisconsin Boys Festival and 7th at the USAV Junior National
Championships.
In 2004 Murray’s Missouri Thunder 121 team finished 12th at the USAV Junior National Championships.
Murray is a certified clinician for the National Youth Sports Coaches Association and has conducted numerous clinics for youth
sports coaches in the Kirkwood area.
Murray has coached club volleyball for the Kirkwood Volleyball Association.
Murray is a USAV IMPACT certified coach.

This is Debbie’s 5th year coaching with Missouri Thunder.  Debbie’s experience includes:
In 2008, Debbie was honored as the "National Outstanding Women's Coach" by the USAV
In 2008, Debbie's 161 team finished first at the Mayor Daly Festival, second at the St. Louis Boys Volleyfest, and competed in the USAV

7 years as Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Notre Dame High School
5 years as Head Boys Volleyball Coach at Bishop DuBourg High School

Ray Cook – Club Director, Assistant Coach 171
This is Ray’s 8th year with Missouri Thunder.  Ray's experience includes several years of coaching at Missouri Thunder in addition to coaching 7 years for boys and girls in CYC.  Last year, Ray was the Assistant Coach for the Chaminade Varsity Volleyball team which finished 2nd in State. In addition to coaching, Ray handles many of the administrative details for the club, including being the club webmaster.  Ray is a USAV CAP I certified coach.

Stacy Olczyk – Head Coach 172
This season will be Stacy’s 5th year with Missouri Thunder and her 14th year coaching volleyball.   She has experience coaching club volleyball for ages 10-18 for both girls and boys.  After taking a three year break from coaching club, Stacy returned to coach for Missouri Thunder in 2004.   She is looking forward to spending more time with the boys and further improving their skills.  Her experience includes:
In 2008, Stacy's 162 team competed in the USAV Junior National Championships.
In 2007, Stacy's 16Black team competed in the USAV Junior National Championships.
Coaching in Kansas City and Chicago with area clubs.
Coached in Chicago for top area high schools at the freshman and JV levels. 
Formerly the head volleyball coach at Fort Zumwalt West High School for the boys and girls programs.
Currently coaching the freshman girls at Cor Jesu Academy.

Richard Hall – Club Director, Head Coach 161
This is Rich’s 12th year coaching with Missouri Thunder.  In addition to his experience with Missouri Thunder, Rich has extensive coaching and playing experience with USAV adult volleyball.  Rich’s experience includes:
In 2008, Rich’s 151 team competed in the USAV Junior National Championships
In 2007, Rich’s Missouri Thunder 181 team finished 2nd at the Gateway Boys Festival, 1st at the St Louis Boys Volleyfest and competed             in the Open Division at the USAV National Championships.
In 2006 Rich’s Missouri Thunder 171 team finished 1st at the St. Louis Volleyfest and 25th in the Open Division at the USAV National                  Championships.
In 2005 Rich’s Missouri Thunder 161 team finished 2nd at the St. Louis Volleyfest and 25th in the Open Division at the USAV National                  Championships.
In 2001 Rich’s Missouri Thunder 171 team finished 2nd (18s) at the Mayor Daley Fest., 3rd at AAU Nationals and 5th in the 17s Club Gold           Division at USAV National Championships.
Rich is a USAV CAP II certified coach.

This is Jared’s 1st year coaching with Missouri Thunder.   Last year, Jared coached the Club Vertical 16s teams.   Jared currently plays volleyball for the Lindenwood University Men’s Volleyball team.  Jared is an IMPACT Certified Coach.

Donna Hall – Head Coach 151
Coach Hall has been with Missouri thunder VBC for 13 years and has earned a USAV CAP Level II certification. She has a high level of experience at the Jr. Olympic National Competition level and will work to lead this team to become competitive in and out of the Region to gain more exposure for the players.

She has coached all age levels of boys and girls Junior Olympic Volleyball as well as high school and CYC.  She has also played and coached USAV adult teams.  Donna as taken her boys and girls teams to the National level and has had many players successfully recruited by college programs across the nation.

John Piedimonte – Assistant Coach 151
This is John’s 9th year coaching with Missouri Thunder. John is a USAV CAP I certified coach.  John spent most of his playing career as a middle hitter for a “AA” level men’s team from St. Louis.  During his playing years John was selected to three Heart-of-America All-Regional Championship Teams and honored as Heart of America’s “All Time Best” middle hitter.

Nick has been involved with volleyball for over 25 years as both a player and as a coach.   His experience includes:
Playing on the Mizzou intermural men's and coed teams in college and various YMCA and company teams.   Nick is a USAV B & BB
setter.
In juniors, Nick has coached girls school teams from 4th - 8th grade and has coached several club teams, including Chesterfield Force
11-1, Quincy Rampage 13-1, and Quincy Rampage 13-2.
Nick is a USAV IMPACT and CAP I certified coach.

Jenny Stark – Head Coach 12-1
Ms. Stark played Division-I volleyball at Morehead State University.  She’s been a AA Level USAV player for over 20 years and has won USAV All-American honors.  Her teams have finished in the top 5 at the USAV National Championships in every year that they’ve competed. She has won numerous outdoor titles on the EVP and Bud Light tours as well as the Steamboat and King of the Mountain tournaments in Colorado.   This season will be Coach Stark’s 3rd year coaching with Missouri Thunder.

Katie Brynac – Head Coach 10s/11s
Katie played club volleyball for Team St. Louis and Elite before playing college volleyball at Benedictine College.    She is currently a teacher at Hancock Elementary School and is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Webster University.
