Congratulations to the 2008 171 team for medaling (3rd Place Gold) in the 17 Open division at the Junior Olympics Nationals Tournament. Also, congratulations to Anthony "Pete" Hock and Tony Meier who were named to the All Tournament Team. The team also received the #3 ranking in Volleyball Magazine's post-season poll published in the October issue.
Congratulations to Garrett Dobbs of the 181 team for being named Best Attacker at the 2007 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships.
Congratulations to Coach Debbie Nicollerat for being named the 2008 Outstanding Female Coach by the USAV. This prestigious award is presented annually to the female coach who demonstrates great skill in teaching volleyball. Debbie is presently the Head Coach for the Dubourg High School Boys team, the Assistant Coach for the Dubourg High School Girls team, and a Missouri Thunder club director.
Congratulations to the Men's USA Volleyball Oympic team for winning the Gold medal in Beijing. The team included Missouri Thunder alum Scott Touzinsky. Scott played for Missouri Thunder from 14's through 18's. He was a key member of the 1998 Missouri Thunder 161 team which won the Open National Championship and the 1999 171 team which finished 2nd. He then attended Long Beach State where he earned several honors, including being the Career and Single Season Ace Leader.
